I love these genuine antique insulators and thought they'd make a great addition to house and patio; more than for just decoration. Historically, these were used to insulate high powered electrical lines from their wooden poles.
As I played with one, I saw a beautiful sun catcher by day, votive candle for evening light. The antique insulator is approx 3-3/4 inches across. I suspended it from circular antiqued chain (overall 18 inches long) with 5 large faceted leaded crystal accents. Because these are originally used on electric lines and vintage collectibles, it is normal to expect a few imperfections in the Insulator surface, this one in has a few small chips on the rim, not detracting from the overall piece.
