One of my favorite activities is a day on the ocean. The fantastic colors change every minute, from foggy greys to crystal Apatite Blues. When I bought the little gold-plated micro-pave set cubic zirconia sea turtle I remembered one such striking day.
I strung the necklace with what is called 'Neon Apatite', based on it's vibrant natural blue color. The beads are 3.5mm to 4.5mm diameter and individually hand-cut in India.
I loved the contrast with the plated gold beads, so set out to imagine the chain of life and it's connections. I used gold filled fine gauge wire, and hand-wrapped the links one to the other. The necklace is 2 strands, the shorter is 19" long, the longer is 21" long.
